Assessment

UPDATE: What will happen to tests in 2021 as a result of COVID-19?

The 2021 national curriculum tests have been cancelled. This means the following tests planned between April and July 2021 are no longer taking place:

Cayley Primary School will carry out its own teacher assessments so we can keep a track of where children are and will be reporting to parents at the end of the summer term.

Marking for Feedback

Marking for feedback

Children’s progress is closely monitored at Cayley in order to provide the best possible opportunities and highest levels of support for all children.  All assessment activities aim to ensure children are able to make excellent progress in their learning whilst taking into account the needs of individual children.

EYFS

We meet with parents once a term to discuss learning and development, and report to parents about the EYFSP outcomes at the end of Reception.

Our first meeting with parents is during the  Autumn Term once we’ve completed the first focused observation, we then meet on whole school  Reporting to Parent days during the Spring and Summer Terms. We make assessments of children’s learning and development through observations of day to day child- and adult-initiated activities, throughout the year.
