The School follow and adopt all LA policies where the School does not have an existing or current policy

We are reviewing our policies and procedures so that they are coherent, relevant and useful working documents for the school.

School Policies

We have put the majority of our school policies into handbooks and manuals as they are working documents that are used as part of our day-to-day management of the school. Please see the lists below to see where you will find the information.

Curriculum

The purpose of producing a Curriculum Policies & Procedures Manual is to define clearly and document responsibilities and procedures within the curriculum management of Cayley Primary School.

It is vital that all curriculum policies are clear and precise. There are also other benefits from producing such a document:

  • It allows continuity and consistency in the absence of staff
  • It documents decisions of the Governing Body
  • It allows an opportunity to consider whether existing systems at Cayley Primary School are the best way of meeting the children’s learning needs
  • It allows the school to carry out Self-Assessment against the DfE, OFSTED and LBTH documentation
